Now a day without a mobile phone

When suddenly this morning the day just began, and I made up my mind to look forward to a pleasant day in life. My mobile phone is missing. Now after stressing my brain I still cant think where was it last with me. Nor that i have misplaced a BlackBerry, but a phone is a phone. I am just sad that I will miss listening to songs the whole day. And that inbox full of messages, which i have to keep deleting the old ones so that i can receive new ones.

These two days are just making me think how did people in old age or probably say 20 years ago lived without any gadgets or social networking sites. So today I am doubly marginalises, one without a mobile phone and two without facebook.

I am happy that i will escape the harassing phone calls which I am receiving from students of various universities across the country. As they are chasing me to find out whether I have accepted their application or not.  By the way its summers and the peak time for students to come for internship.  AsI work in a leading ngo and a law firm, we have students through out the year who come here for internship.
Indian law universities have made it mandatory for first year students to undertake an internship in an N.G.O. , so most of the first year , recently school graduate students come for an internship to us. Without any bent towards Human Rights and after few years on the basis of one of their certificate from an NGO they go and join Corporates.

Already everything in our country is getting corporatised, they have not even left the upcoming generation. Lure them with handsome salaries that these students prefer corporates over litigation. Anyway this was a nice way of taking out my frustration.

DO you ever feel that sometimes so many shocks in life come together that the intensity of the second- third one  are not a big deal. As in you already going through a shock mode then just bring it on. What worst can happen.

My evening without facebook

Each time I go and click a new tab I look for Facebook, its a bad bad addiction. I think its easier to get over alcohol than facebook addiction

An alternate to Facebook

Today I deactivated my facebook account, so I thought I will brush up my writing skills. I have played this hide and seek with facebook earlier. Last time was when I had my Masters Exams. But for long now I had loved being on Facebook.

Moreover over the years it had become an addiction, every time you post something on your wall, you want to know how many likes and comments. So it was almost like getting 'A+' in school, when you have more than five likes. Often I have seen people getting pictures clicked only for facebook.... so we now have the facebook pose.

Today I just thought that I dont want to be noticed by the World. So I am going off facebook, so for all those my friends in distant lands, I will miss you but dont worry we can go back to old ages, send letters  or better send emails( save paper).

So this was my after lunch facebook session time.

Some Pasta and Ice Tea

Today my day didnt start on a perfect note, i think it was last night bad mood hangover. Well from my monotonous life my friend Jayshree and I treated ourselves at Big Chill. So from the daily routine of coming to office and eating home cooked food we ate at Big Chill.

Today in Delhi the weather is just like london, its dull, gloomy and top it all its raining. So reminds me of my days in London when there was no sun.  Today I am missing my bottle green 'Benetton' sweatshirt, which I left in london. Today i am missing lot of things about London, well I am missing London in all.

When on 25th June I landed in India i was so sure I am going to leave in a few days but unfortunately its been over a year now and my flight has not taken off. I came back with one bag and left three bags there. Two of my bags which have my winter clothes and other assets which i collected when I stayed there.

For sure life so unpridictable as the saying goes, " man proposes but God disposes"
So I am still trying to look at the brighter side. The dreams not achieved the wishes not fulfilled and lot of unsaid things.

Devil has inherited my body

Okay today I am not in good mood at all, i think the day has just began on a bad mood. if someone closely observes me today they can clearly see two horns on my head. EEEEEWWWWW.........

Well i should really say that Delhi has become a World Class City, we just had Commonwealth Games in october then Dussherra and Diwali, Obama and now finally Trade Fair, this has not let Delhi police rest.Hats off to them for putting up all well. I thought this year we wont have trade fair but no we had to add to the ever increasing traffic road. I love Delhi but i hate traffic. All i see in these fifteen days of trade fair is loads of people around Pragati Maidan where trade fair takes place. One day it recorded that upto 60 thousand people visited it. oh my God.... not only this what i fail to understand is that why people only buy dry flowers at Trade fair, for years I have been observing loads of people just end up getting dry flowers home. Not only this in metro aunties are carrying these big, even bigger and more in height dry flowers which needs extra space in the crowded metro. My question is dont we get them except at trade fair or because they are the cheapest. I noticed one more thing ( I am an observer: Virgo) people carrying Khadi bags, as in they might have shopped at the khadi stall, but hello we have a big khadi showroom in CP, i am sure not many people know and especially when Delhities love shopping at fab india they dont even go to khadi. Well some go to buy moisturizers, shampoo and rose water ( preferred most ). Well some of anger comes because of seeing so many people at one day one time and the traffic. Ohh actually I get down a the same metro station which is closest to the venue.
Its just tuesday and I am so waiting for the weekend, well also because I am feeling like this i can see this in my environment also , alot of people in my office today are cranky speaking less and not smiling.
Well i have taken all out , thanks for taking it blog.

Till then CYA

Almost Single Syndrome

This is no new syndrome, but rather my diagnosis by my Bengali colleague. She thinks i am suffering from this. Is it?

Symptoms: I am not enjoying this weather change, moving from summers to winter, i am too lazy, dont feel like coming to office, dont feel like going home, want to stay alone, chocolates and love stories have become my best friend.I am lost in my own world.

So is this a syndrome. Well we punjabis dont think so much, we are just termed sad and in depression but have noticed that bengalis are good in analyzing and have appropriate terms for each situation. So she thinks that all of us go through this phase in our life where dont want to be bothered, we love our space, our irritated, snap at anyone and everyone and hog on food. She further said "and the perfect solution is to pamper yourself, go out do things you want to , go for spa sessions, go to the parlour" Well she is right I would love to do all this, but will office pay and where will i get that money, spend once and become more depressed later.

Well all love stories have perfect ending like " Almost Single" by Advaita Kala had. I quiet liked his book, it was fun and so appropriate,Suchi has perfectly done the review Read it here

SO do we all go through this phase? do we miss being in a relationship, are we not enjoying this single space. Well I am , I am sure I am enjoying myself. but at the same time I think I am going through almost single syndrome.

Ofcourse I love You!!!!..............Till I find someone better!

Its for sure that I have not said these words to any one. Well the fact is that I am reading a book and its a hilarious book by two young Indian authors. And being young you can quiet relate to it.

So for raising the curiosity of others or say for having fun and seeing others reaction. I posted this on my facebook wall, and like me lot of my friends dont know that its a book but are rather happy to see this as my status. Well they might be happy for me thinking that she has finally found someone and in the process of dumping the first one and lucky to get the second one. HAHAHAHA

And one of my friend following up from this just send me a forward which read:
First day of school boy sees a beautiful girl siting rite next to him and writes in a paper " I love you, do you love me ?" and passes the paper to her and the girl replies " no" ....he didnt give up, he erased her answer and passed to another girl and she replies "yes"
....
....
....
....
Moral of the story
....
....
....
....
Definitely not what you and I are thinking ,well the moral of the story is "Save Paper"...... I should rather say great mind at work, some one can even think like this.
But my point here is not about saving paper, hence writing on a blog but its about someone trying to maybe encourage me or sympathies with me.

So till the time all my friends on facebook are thinking what I am upto i enjoy reading this book.

i will soon write more about this book, what I also like in this book is the leading girl shares the same name as me.
